Wish the product was made in the USA...but aside from that very good! Looks beautiful in our bedroom and the price was much better than furniture stores.

Simple, elegant, affordable, July 16, 2010

After 20 years of sleeping in a waterbed, my back problems forced me to change to a regular bed. I didn't want a platform bed, which is what I thought this was when I saw it on another site. I called & was told, yes, you can use a box springs. My new mattress requires a box springs with it to comply with the warranty.
I like the upholstered aspect of the bed, since I have grandkids who sometimes sleep in my bed, and I needed something safe & durable. My new mattress is 10.5" and the box springs that came with it was 9", which made the bed way too high. I traded for a 5" box springs, so now you can't see it above the rails, and the mattress is just a few inches taller that the footboard.
I ordered the bed on 6/12 & it wasn't delivered til 7/9!!! Also, the driver had a cancellation so he came 3 hours early, without calling 1st, and I was already at work. There were NO instructions in the box or on the website, so I had to wait til the next day when customer service opened for someone to email them to me. They're fairly easy to understand, but they need to include a note about removing the plastic caps that cover the screws on the legs. We thought those were some kind of dowel & couldn't get them to fit. There were no pre-drilled holes for the frame supports as indicated on the drawing. It took my 20 year old daughter & I almost 2 hours to put it together & we has to use a power screwdriver for part of it. Not the toughest thing we've ever assembled, but it did take longer than I thought & then the mattress was delivered before we had the bed ready.
In all, nice looking, comfortable bed, for a great price.
