The headboard I received has black "shading" on both the top and bottom edge of the wood arch. In my opinion, it spoils the look of the wood. Nowhere on the internet in all the photos of this headboard did it show this black painted shading. I said "yes" on the recommendation, because I like the style, but the headboard I received is not as described or pictured. I did not return it because of the return shipping cost and hassle.
