There were two flaws in the bronzing finish on the bed- a tiny gouge right in the middle pole of the headboard and a nick on the footboard. Didn't notice til I had it all together and didn't want to take it all apart and return it. Could be a bit heavier as far as quality goes.

The coloring (or lack thereof) was not what I expected, August 2, 2010

If you do not care about the coloring but love the style, this metal bed is a great choice. I am going to keep it mainly because I don't want to pay the shipping charges and go through the trouble of packing it up and returning it. My biggest and sole complaint is that the bed is a very dark chocolate brown, all over. I expected it to have the brushed bronze accents on the decorative finials as pictured to lighten and brighten it up a little, but the brushing is barely visible on areas of the headboard and pretty much non-existent on the footboard. Overall, the bed is WAY darker than I'd expected.
