We purchased 6 stools--2 black, 2 fawn and 2 sable. For some reason the black stools are much firmer in the seat area than the other stools. At first I told my husband that I was disappointed in this purchase because the stools were uncomfortable after sitting on them for an extended period of time. I was sitting on the same black stool. Then I moved to another stool and it was more comfortable. Now i just don't use that one black stool very often--or if I am going to be sitting at the counter for longer than 10-15 minutes.
Otherwise, they look GREAT. We get lots of complements and they really enhance the colors in the exotic granite countertop we just installed.
Also, GREAT value for the $. We shopped all over the internet, and this site was by far the best price and had the best selection.

These are great bar stools, very sturdy and comfortable. If you have high counters check the height, these do not go up super high. We love them!

We love the Venus bar stools,but--we've had to return and exchange the two we purchased because the black ring on the pedestal gradually falls down to the bottom and we can't put it back. Now ,the same is happening on one of the two that were replaced. I , February 23, 2009

We are quite satisfied with the stools, except for the black ring on the tube pedestal that gradually slides to the bottom after having the stools only two months!!
